On April 15, 2023, we hosted our grand opening event, marking the beginning of an exciting journey in Trumansburg. Cedarwood Event Venue (visit our website at cedarwoodeventvenue.com) is a stunning location that offers a unique space for weddings, parties, and other special occasions.
To kick off our grand opening in style, we invited two talented guest bartenders, Jamie Kehoe and Tony Joseph, to bartend. Their expertise added a touch of flair to the evening, making it even more memorable.
Setting the stage for a night filled with fun and rockin' blues, we were thrilled to have the renowned Gabe Stillman Band be the first band to play our venue. Their incredible talent and energetic music had the crowd on their feet, creating an electric atmosphere that resonated throughout the venue.
In collaboration with Kevin Black Presents, an event marketing company, we ensured that our grand opening event reached a wide audience. Their expertise in promoting shows and creating buzz played a crucial role in the success of our opening night. With their support, we were able to attract an enthusiastic crowd, creating an inclusive and vibrant atmosphere.
Of course, no celebration is complete without delectable food, and we were fortunate to have Billy Bobber's Reef and Beef as our caterer. They provided a mouthwatering selection of dishes, including juicy beef and succulent shrimp. The flavors tantalized taste buds and satisfied appetites, ensuring that our guests had a truly exceptional dining experience.
Guests had the opportunity to indulge in a delectable meal before enjoying the live performance by The Gabe Stillman Band. The dinner options were carefully crafted to cater to different preferences. Option #1 featured a mouthwatering Petite Beef Tenderloin with a flavorful Demi-glace (sauteed mushrooms available upon request). Option #2 delighted seafood lovers with Butter Garlic Argentina Red Shrimp. For a vegetarian option, Option #3 offered Marinated Veggie Kabobs with Tomato, Pepper, Onion, Zucchini, and Yellow Squash (two kabobs per serving). Each dinner option was accompanied by sides including a House Caesar Salad, Garlic Whipped Potatoes with Demi-glace, Sweet Glazed Green Beans, and a delectable Garlic Butter Dinner Roll.
After the meal, Cedarwood treated all of their guests to a slice of cake to celebrate their opening night!
To complement the delicious food, we partnered with Liquid State Brewing and South Hill Cider to provide an excellent beverage selection. Liquid State Brewing, known for their craft beers, offered a variety of brews on tap, including Liquid Crush, Hi-Hat, and Sunspot hard seltzer. We also have a South Hill Cider on tap. With such a diverse and high-quality drink selection, there was something to suit every palate.

Tickets to the dinner and show package were limited to 80 guests to ensure an intimate and exclusive experience. The ticket included a scrumptious dinner, a non-alcoholic beverage, and top-notch entertainment throughout the evening. For those wishing to enjoy alcoholic beverages, a cash bar was available, offering a selection of beer and wine.
